Peachnet Traffic Grapher:
If you're looking for graphs relating to the Peachnet network then we
suggest you start here.
The Peachnet Grapher was developed to allow the network support staff to
look at the snmp data being collected by cricket in a more consolidated
fashion. It allows one to choose the device(s), the metric(s), and the
time frame, then it generates graphs for the data which has been collected
for the devices and metrics selected.
Peachnet Monitor:
This site is produced by a program called
Intermapper.
Here you'll find a full University System Network Map (which is
printable), usage charts for the USG schools, a list of site
outages, and more information.
Peachnet Traffic Graphs:
If you want to browse the various Peachnet related graphs then click
here. Backbone switches, backbone routers, demarc routers, and many
other devices are graphed. The graphs are the same as the
Grapher
above produces but the interface isn't as nice. This
help
document explains the traffic graph hierarchy as well as what
software package we use (Cricket) to produce the graphs.
Cricket:
Our network devices and metrics are graphed using a program called
Cricket which
stores data into a round-robin database appropriately called
RRD Tool.
RRD Tool was written by Tobi Oetiker who authored the (still)
popular Multi Router Traffic Grapher
(MRTG).
